Members: Thanks to Nicholas G. Being Nick and the other administrators for helping in the acceptance of member requests and patrolling for spam. One or more of us may periodically post about removing spam and others have posted about the growth of this post. New members, please see the About section to the right about this group. I wish to add that for me, no one is obligated to post anything. The fact that someone may not be posting is not the same as such person not participating. Anyone who takes the time to read or share links is participating. I dont want to insult anyone reading or studying links or sharing posts or links and say that youre not participating. I know such is not the intent of Nicks post. He is encouraging more to share or post. In addition, the posts can be long or short. Not everyone wants to take time to read everything. Thats alright. Ive read many blogs, articles, translations and seen videos that were linked to posts here; however thats my personal preference and one of my practices to keep learning. Regarding language use, I note that different means of communications are all part of the Buddhas teachings (skillful means). For anyone not familiar with skillful means, the Sanskrit is upāya and there are resources on the Web and books about what this means. So simple words may do for one and not for another. No member should be concerned whether what she or he posts using phrasing or language or words that may be pleasing to all members. Its in fact impossible to please everybody. Finally as I have explained in other posts, I started this FB group in 2013 as a spin-off from LinkedIn of the Buddhism in Action forum that I took over in about 2009 from Nils Victor Montan, the original owner (LinkedIn verbiage) of that group. I dont use LinkedIn anymore. I added the words & Non-Action to the name of the group because often one can mistake conscious non-action for no action and as a reminder that what may be action or non-action unfolds through practice. Its also good to have healthy discussions among the administrators or members about what this may be all about.
