Meme time: 10 games that affected me, in no order: 1. Metal Gear Solid 2 The first video game that I ever played, taught me that it was better to be strategic and think things through than to rush through everything and shoot up the place. 2. Final Fantasy 5 Got me into RPGs. 4 game generations later, it still has the best customizability out of any Final Fantasy game. 3. Casltevania Symphony Of The Night: This is a game where each replay is just as fun as the last due to the huge castles to explore, it blew my mind when I found the inverted castle because the first one was enough to constitute a full fledged game. There is so much to explore and so much customizability that each playthrough feels like a whole new game. 4. The Last Of Us Easily one of the best stories in gaming, even including RPGs. 5. Chrono Trigger I seriously got every ending in this game, thats how much I love it. You got Hironobu Sakaguchi & Yuji Horii as the games main designers, Nobuo Uematsu & Yasunori Mitsuda composing them glorious tunes, Akira Toriyama doing the art, Square Soft in its prime making the game on my favourite platform the SNES.... it truly was made by the dream team. 6. Mega Man X This is without a doubt my all time favourite game, it took the Classic Mega Man and perfected it. I once dedicated an entire summer to beating the game in every possible order [there are 8 different mavericks, so you do the math] to give you an idea of how much I have played it. I have the entire soundtrack on CD, I have every version of this game [except for that god awful IOS port] physically, I even own a Mega Man X punching bag thats hanging around somewhere. 7. Metroid Prime 3 This game is pretty much the reason why I own a Wii, Metroid has always been my favourite Nintendo franchise and out of all the Metroids I think that I had the most fun with this one. Prime may be an innovative masterpiece, but at the same time it shows its age quite a bit, Prime 3 feels like everything Prime wanted to be. Plus, phazon corrupts. 8. Resident Evil 4 I remember playing this all day every day with my uncle when I was a wee lad, it scared the hell out of me at times [Think RE4 was not scary? You clearly never got to Verdugo or The Regenerators] but it was worth beating it the million times I did, I got literally every possible thing from the game including the hand cannon, the laser that instantly kills everything, the infinity rocket launcher, the chicago typewriter, the alternate costumes, etc. Oh, did I mention that I did all this for the PS2 and the PS3 version? Yup, I 100% completed the game twice. 9. Astro Boy Omega Factor This game proved to me that a licensed game could be a masterpiece and not just a cash-in with no effort put into it, the fact that it stars my personal anime hero is just a bonus. This is the perfect tribute to not only Astro Boy, but also Tezukas works in general what with all the guest appearances/cameos from his other series such as Phoenix, the dude was a brilliant manga artist who needs more appreciation considering the fact that he is more or less the Walt Disney of Japan. 10. Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance Ok lets be honest here, this is by far the worst game on the list, but then again it was also the 2nd video game I ever played and therefore my first fighting game, and I just have a lot of memories of playing with my siblings on VS mode so when I think Mortal Kombat this is usually the first one that comes to mind. Theres my list of video games that affected me. Now its your turn to make your list of 10 games and tag 10 [or more] people.
