Mental illness indeed increase around the world, depression could somehow aggrevated by social medias: Other people post flattering photographs and rummy comments while your own life just feels so blunt. It turns out that your relative social rank - literally, where you draw a line on an abstract ladder to show where you are with respect to others- predicts many health outcomes, including depression, sometimes even more powerful than your objective socioeconomic status alone. As we watch TV, surf the net and follow events around the world, we became intimately aware of other ways of living and others who are richer, stronger, more potent that we ourselves. We place ourselves in a vast social order in which most of us are ants. It maybe truly a depressing reflection.
