Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! I was scrambling trying to get a cover or something up for the holidays, but then I realized there are people who sing songs a lot better than I do, who have already sung those songs. (Also, I do not have an accompanist at home.) So, in lieu of that, Im gonna comment a few staples from this years Christmas playlist below. Some of them are not Christmas tunes. But one, in particular, is. Id never heard The Secret of Christmas before, and I dont know why I hadnt, but it made me weep as I slaved over chocolate icing at 12 AM. Maybe it will make you weep, too. In the best way. I truly love all (read: most) (read: a good number) of you very much, and you mean so very much to me, today and throughout the year. Im so blessed to be enveloped (mostly figuratively but in many ways, literally) by loved ones and by those who continue to have my best interests at heart. Also, if you and I are of similar persuasion, thumb through Hebrews chapters 1 and 4. Some really inspiring reading for this Advent and Christmastide dealing with Christs purpose (and thus, ours) in the world. God bless you all.
