Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! In lieu of a Christmas card this year, we are going to do any electronic Happy Holidays letter! We hope each of you have enjoyed 2014 and it was your most blessed year yet!! 2014 was probably the busiest year we have had yet but in a very great way!! January brought the reality that it was finally wedding year!! We began finalizing plans and details for our Happily Ever After! We continued our journey to a healthier us and appeared on Kansas City Live TV on behalf of Kansas City Fitness to chat about our weight loss journey as a couple. It was a really neat experience and we had the opportunity to meet the famous Michael Mackie !! February, also known as, LOVE MONTH was the month that started all of the changes in our lives this year! Josh was offered the Controller position with Tiffany Care Centers in Mound City. He accepted and began his new position and commute on March 5th! We celebrated Love Day as usual on a date in Kansas City. Josh put a lot of planning into our date however, we ended up in the hotel hot tub with a teenage hockey team. It was very unromantic, however, we can look back and giggle today!! Josh also took it upon himself to sign Heidi up for a half marathon. So the training began for the race date of April 26! March began with Josh’s new position at TCC in Mound City. He adjusted well and loved it from the start! It was also filled with pre-marriage meetings, which Heidi totally loved! It also included Jennifer and Justin Bissell’s wedding in Kansas City! It was an honor to be part of their special day and was a beautiful wedding with a fun wedding party! April brought much wedding stress and to-do’s, along with training for the half marathon. Heidi began her running outside with just days to go before the big race. Marriage meetings, volleyball games, scholarship banquets and a week of Spring break took up much of April. Race day was a huge success for Heidi with her biggest supporter making stops along the way. The second stop she noticed a HUGE head of herself being held in the air by Josh. It was hilarious and very much a motivating point. Other runners were asking if it was her face on the “billboard”! Heidi finished the race in 2 hours 42 minutes, well under her goal of 3 hours! At that time Nathan Paul took it upon himself to sign her up for the Maryville Half Marathon held in Maryville in June!! Heidi also turned the big 30 on the 18th of April! May brought sand volleyball leagues along with finishing up with court volleyball! Our niece Lilli Lynn turned 5. Wedding showers in Saint Joseph and Corning were hosted by the wedding parties and were absolutely perfect! The end of school included graduation, scholarship assembly and graduation parties. It also was Bachelorette Party #1 in Maryville, which was just perfect! Celebrating in the ville was very appropriate for the Bearcat lover! June….it was already JUNE! Wedding month!! June started with teaching swim lessons again at the Moore’s pool. As always, Heidi was very grateful to have the opportunity to do what she LOVES to do with her summer time! There were afternoons of wedding crafting with Jessica and Korey, thank goodness they are patient women! The bachelor party and bachelorette party #2 happened in early June. The bachelor party started at Twin Peaks and included golfing and baseball. Bachelorette party #2 was in KC and included dinner and Ernie Biggs! Fun times held by both parties. The second weekend in June brought about the Maryville Half Marathon. This was the crazy decision to run this two weeks before wedding day but it was fun and a lesson was learned. You must train your body to do something so complex! Heidi completed the Maryville Half in 2 hours 59 minutes and 59 seconds, still under her 3 hour goal!! We attended other June weddings and 30th surprise Birthday for Tony Stiens and then, it was wedding week! Our wedding week and day were so perfect. There are many times we reminisce and want to do that weekend all over again! If you were there and stayed to celebrate with us, we thank you for making it the best day of our lives! A special shout out to our fantastic wedding party!! We felt like a prince and princess! It was a pink explosion and was just how we had pictured! July started with the surprise honeymoon! Heidi had no idea where we were going until the airline asked her to confirm where we were going upon entering the plane! At that point, Josh had to explain why Heidi did not know where we were headed and disclosed the location of Rivera Mya! We were on our honeymoon from the 1st of July until we got back late on the 8th of July. Let’s just say Josh Webster knows how to plan a getaway, it was far more than perfection. Gorgeous view! It was paradise! Upon our return, we both headed back to work the very next day. July also brought about a new work opportunity for Heidi. She interviewed with a couple departments at Northwest. August was the month of unexpected changes, as Heidi headed back to Benton from summer vacation! Heidi was offered two position at Northwest Missouri State and was put into the decision making mode. After much consideration and conversations together about our future, we decided to take our lives back home where everything started! Heidi accepted a position with the Talent Development Center as an Academic Success Coach. She would begin that position on August 25th. The packing of our St. Joseph home began and we started searching for a home to purchase in Maryville. We picked a phenomenal real estate agent, Bonnie Sutton. She guided us and showed us numerous homes in Maryville. Josh attended a conference in Branson for his new position and had a great time! August was a bit crazy filled with many emotions. September was filled with packing and adjustments to Josh’s commuting life and Heidi’s work life. We also enjoyed Bearcat football season tickets again for the 6th year! Josh turned 30 and attended a surprise Birthday party at Carson’s! We started learning all about the buying a house timeline. Making offers, booking inspections, walking through our new home. It was stressful to say the least! We moved into our real estate agent’s rental home mid-September, so we would not be homeless! Our lease ended on our home in St. Joseph at the end of September! There was a lot happening in our new married life and it was going quickly! We went to the zoo as a family with the Shires & Vais clan. Also attended Jamie and Michael’s wedding. October was another big month. Heidi still learning and adjusting to the new position at Northwest. We were moving out of our rental into our new home on Halloween. Closing date was scheduled for the 31st. There were many steps being taken before that could happen, and at times, they were a bit stressful! There were more weddings to attend and helped our good friend Tricia move, too! Heidi attended a work conference in Minneapolis and Josh attended a Chiefs game! We had TWO trick-or-treaters at our new home! November….we are HOMEOWNERS! Moving…for the 2nd time in 45 days! We closed on our home on the 31st of October and spent much time in November making our home…ours! We could not be happier with our decision to buy! We have been greeted and welcomed to the neighborhood by our awesome neighbors! We hosted the Shires clan for Thanksgiving! It is a perfect home for hosting! We attended Disney on Ice with the nieces. We also sold many unwanted items on the Swap Shop, that was interesting and fun! December! It’s already the final month of 2014! This month brought about Mia’s 2nd Birthday party, work Christmas parties, secret Santa gift exchanges, the end of playing on volleyball leagues in Saint Joseph, shopping dates and hosting Kevin Webster’s side on Christmas Eve! This home is perfect for hosting and we were thrilled to have 27 people in our home on Christmas Eve. We attended Christmas Eve services in Saint Joseph, as Josh still serves on the Finance committee and I serve as a member on the Radical Hospitality team at Ashland United Methodist Church. This was our first time in 7 years together that we were able to wake up in our own home on Christmas morning! We then headed to Iowa to celebrate with the Shires fam! We have both enjoyed several days off from work to enjoy our home and some relaxation time with one another. As we catch our breath from an extremely busy but awesome year, we want to count our blessings and say “thank you” to each of you for making our year the best one yet! We may have experienced the top 5 most stressful situations in life within the last six months but we wouldnt have it any other way! We hope that 2015 will bring great health and much happiness to each of you and your families! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to each of you! Love, The Webster’s
