Merry Christmas to all as this day is the first day of trying to turn Christmas from a noun into a verb. Its hard for me to keep on the forefront of my senses that each day is a blessing and a chance to bring joy to the world even in the January or February moments of our lives. There is so much hatred and violence in our communities that this brief moment of joy is soon overwhelmed by the noise of humanitys self destruction. Maybe we should be saying Merry Christmas all year because the purpose of Christmas is to remind us how much we have been loved by the creator, whom we call God, who came to us through Jesus whose message was to tell us personally how much we are loved and calls us to tell another through word and deed especially those who are suffering this day. But our senses are quickly dulled to the brief moment of joy that yesterday brought. The verb Merry Christmas could be defined as: an assembly of people who believe in the message of Christ who are joyful. So I hope you all will be filled with awakenings from the advent season that brought us to the noun of Christmas day yesterday into the verb of becoming that Merry Christmas that brings joy to the world from this day forward.
