Merry Christmas to me! - I am excited to say that last week I joined the team of wonderful dedicated folks at Jungle Friends, a primate sanctuary in Gainesville FL. We have been long time followers/supporters of this organization. I have volunteered there some in the past so, I was aware what a great job they do first hand. The opportunity presented to be a part of the medical team. I will help care for the cuties there in any way needed. Its been great fun so far and very rewarding. Yes, my FB feed will contain lots of monks in the future to round out the dogs and horse pics. =) If you arent aware of this sanctuary, please take a look. They take in retired lab and x-pet primates as space/resources permit. They even have a couple x-performers. These monkeys have the most natural and safe environment possible for them to live out their days in peace. What a way to spend the holidays and ring in 2015!
