Message from Alan Davies at Golf Qld regarding Senior Golf Events Good morning I think there is a number of Senior events that might be of interest, these are Open Queensland and National Events which means they are open to all players from any state and country subject to handicap requirements. Queensland Mixed Foursomes is on the Sunday 16th June at McLeod Country Golf Club, this event has a Senior section to it and have been advised by Golf Queensland that they will look at entries for contestants with a handicap greater than the 12.4 but if the event is oversubscribed then the higher handicaps will be balloted out. Entries are available through the Golf Queensland website through the events section. Queensland Senior Women’s Amateur starts on Sunday 7th July at Horton Park Golf Club, Ladies this is Queensland National event for Senior ladies, entries for this event are available through the Srixon QSOOM events Calendar on the Golf Queensland website. Srixon QSOOM points are awarded for this event. Queensland Senior Men’s Amateur starts on Monday 8th July at Oxley Golf Club, gentlemen like the Ladies this is Queensland National event for senior men, entries for this event are available through the Srixon QSOOM events Calendar on the Golf Queensland website. Srixon QSOOM points are awarded for this event. For those player who are interested Gailes Golf Club which is just down the road from Oxley will be holding a Srixon QSOOM event on Friday 5th July again entries are available through the Srixon QSOOM events calendar on the Golf Queensland website. Gold Coast Men’s Senior Amateur starts on Sunday 14th July at RACV Royal Pines Golf Club, this event is a secondary event on the Nation calendar for senior men, entries for this event can be accessed through a link on the Srixon QSOOM events Calendar and points will also be awarded for the Srixon QSOOM.
