Met a wonderful woman on my walk today ... "Hi Cynthia, I just had to write you as soon as I got home from the doctors to let you know how much you touched my life today. As I mentioned in our brief conversation about smoking, I lost my mother last August and it has been a very difficult year for me. Last night, I was sitting on my balcony and meditating and speaking with my parents, (my dad died in 2005) and asking them for their strength and guidance to help me quit smoking. I just wanted you to know that I believe with all my heart, that you are the angel they sent me today to give me the strength that I prayed for to help me quit. Not just to help me quit, but to let me know they are always listening to me and supporting me from the afterlife. I was very close to my parents and I feel lost without them. My loving partner, Colin, who you met today, has been there for me through it all and I love him dearly. I also wanted you to know that I have felt like a dark cloud has been hanging over me for a long time but after meeting you today, I somehow feel as if this cloud has lifted. The light from your soul shined on me today and made me feel as though my prayers have been answered. Through you, I felt as though my parents were letting me know that they will always be looking out for me and that I do not need to be afraid. Thank you for being the angel to deliver that message. You touched my heart today in ways I cannot even express in words. As our Lord said: "Ask and you shall receive", and I did. I am overjoyed that you answered my prayers today.
