Micah 6:8 Slow down! Have fun but dont take yourself to seriously. Take God seriously! In life, especially this time of year with the holidays coming on so fast, its easy to get caught up. The Lord is speaking to us in Micah and tells us He already has it all planned out for us. Its plain and simple, no tricks or treats, no fancy wrapping, no arguments around the table. 1---Do what is fair to my neighbor. Not my physical neighbor next door, although they are included. Just treat people fairly, dont judge, dont lie or cheat, dont talk behind their backs...just be fair. 2---Be compassionate AND loyal in your love. Compassion is the easy part. The loyal part seems to get mine, our and your generations. Love is the number one thing God asks of us and without the loyalty of love it is worthless. Stay faithful if your married, love your children no matter their lives, love that jackass at work...all the time! 3---My favorite of this verse, dont take yourself to seriously! Take God seriously! Really? You mean to tell me its ok to laugh at my misfortune, my mistakes, my bad choices? Fix them, make them right, learn from them and grow with the things we stress over but in the end, blow it all off. Relax, have fun, slow down and focus, rely on and go to, take God seriously!
