Michael Blakely our Auckland spokesperson attended a packed out Internet Mana roadshow at Kelston (Auckland) Community Centre on Sunday the 20th During the meeting he asked if they have considered having in their economic policy the Reserve Bank removing the right from commercial banks to create digital money. John Minto responded along the lines that managing banking will be the sovereign prerogative of our nation. After the meeting Michael introduced himself to John and pointed out that he was once a candidate for parliament with Laila and has been involved in many protests over the years. John said he thought he recognised Michael. Michael explained that he is the Auckland spokesperson for Positive Money and that we are part of the international movement to modernize money. John said he had met a couple of us from the movement. John had not seen our website though and he was given a flier and said that it is most important that he checks out the website if they are to develop an economic policy that addresses the main cause of inequality in our nation.
