Mid-week Motivation. 5 Scriptural Reasons to be Aligned with God. One definition of alignment is alliance. To be aligned with God is to be in alliance with Him. An alliance is a joining together of two or more parties for a common purpose. From the 5 scriptures that follow,lets take the time to consider reasons why it is to your advantage to be in alliance, and aligned, with God: (1) The things which are impossible with men are possible with God. (Luke 18:27) (2) But the LORD is with me as a mighty, awesome One. Therefore my persecutors will stumble, and will not prevail. They will be greatly ashamed, for they will not prosper. (Jeremiah 20:11) (3) The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs — heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ. (Romans 8:16-17) (4) I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:12) (5) The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. (John 14:26). So the 5 reasons to be aligned with God are (1) to experience the impossible, (2) to overcome the enemy, (3) to get your inheritance, (4) to have the strength to do all things, and (5) to be a learner of all things by the Holy Spirit. Thats good stuff! And should be enough reasons for you to align yourself with God - His purposes, His plans, His Word and His heart.
