Mike has been stable so far through the night. He is comfortable and resting. He still opens his eyes and talks to us, usually to fuss at me or offer a witty comeback. He had everyone laughing several times throughout the evening. Its tough to be sad around a man who exudes such joy even in the midst of such pain. My mom and one of Mikes brothers sat up and tended his every need allowing me a few moments of much needed rest. We will be here at his bedside awaiting his healing, whether it be here on earth or at home with his Savior. The hospital has been very understanding and accommodating of Mikes many visitors, as much of the staff here knows him as friend rather than patient. We thank you all for carrying us through this difficult time. *michelle
