Mikey went back to the vet last night to check the animal wound and his infection from it. Had put on some weight, wound looked good ... but found this poor Persian has a mild heart murmur ... a beebee size lump behind left shoulder and a pea-sized one on the right side, and lungworms .... never heard of this . Vet said its from eating a snail/slug outside .... must have been really starving to do that! So he is now on a strong worm medication to get rid of that. So sad cuz this cat is so mild mannered and lovable ... its fur is growing back now also. The Humane Society said because obvious someone owned him -- paid for neutering and de-clawing -- possibly owner died and relatives just stuck cat outside to fend for itself ... cruel since doesnt know how to fight and no front claws to defend self with! Heres pics just took with phone of Mikey and its fur ... will be a while before he can be available for adoption though ... have to make sure he is well.
