Military Veterans are invited to attend the 2013 Hiring Our Heroes Job Fair Military Veterans are invited to attend the 2013 Hiring our Heroes Job Fair on Thursday, November 7th at the Holiday Inn in South Burlington from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.. Military veteran job seekers, active duty military, members of the National Guard and reserve components, and military spouses are offered exclusive access to the Job Fair from until noon when the job fair will be opened to the general public. There will be an Hiring our Heroes Employment Workshop at 9:00 am for veterans and other military job seekers that focuses on resume writing, tips for successful navigating hiring fairs, military skill translations, and interviewing skills. Advance registration for the workshop is strongly recommended at: hohworks.eventbrite . This hiring event is being conducted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce; local Chambers of Commerce; the Department of Labor Veterans Employment and Training Service (DOL VETS); Vermont Committee, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR); the United States Army Reserve (USAR); the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs; the American Legion; NBC News; and other local partners. While priority entrance for veterans, military spouses, members of the National Guard and reserve components, and active duty military will continue for the entire event, exclusive admittance will be from 10:00 a.m. - noon. From noon - 2:00 p.m., the general public will be welcomed.
