Ministry for Grand Bahama Staff in Action!! Conrad Jones, who heads the newly established East and West Grand Bahama Economic Development Regulation Unit, located in the Ministry for Grand Bahama, along with colleague Patricia Johnson, were invited to BICAs first tax seminar, held in Grand Bahama on Thursday, September 25, 2014. Mr. Jones, in his slide show presentation, informed the group of chartered accountants that the East and West Grand Bahama Economic Development Regulation was created to implement Duty Free Concessions for the purchase and importation of capital goods for approved residential or commercial capital development projects in the Eastern and Western districts of Grand Bahama Island, in order to spur economic growth in these areas, and create employment & entrepreneurial opportunities for Grand Bahamians. Business persons operating in the outlying areas of the Port, who are interested in finding out more information about these new concessions, are asked to contact the Ministry for Grand Bahama at 352-8525.
