Misogyny is exactly why I left all atheist related communities online and in the community. The amount of misogyny and female hatred is abundant. What I find interesting, is how people like Hitchens (I could never stand him), Dawkins and the like, are all worshiped as heroes of the movement, and idolized. Ideology is illogical, and irrational, its removing the human element, and the possibility of being wrong from the equation- and to me, that sounds very much like deity worship. If you wish to show you are a true rational thinker, dont allow these atheist mouthpieces to be turned into heroes and do your thinking for you. You need to start acknowledging that they are flawed human beings capable of error too, and its time to call them out on it.
