Miss Scotland falls in for Mas Miss Scotland 2013, Jamey Bowers, is in Trinidad for the Carnival celebrations and she has brought with her other beauty queens who represented their various countries in the Miss World pageant last year. Those visiting are Miss Aruba Larisa Leeuwe; Miss Dominica Leslassa Armour-Shillingford; Miss Belize Idolly louise Saldivar and Miss Norway Alexandra Backstrom. Bowers is the daughter of Trinidadian biochemist Paula Bowers and retired chef from Edinburgh, Scotland, Gordon Bowers. She often travelled between Trinidad and Scotland but eventually settled in Scotland at the age of nine. For the last three years, Bowers has not missed Carnival and this year she has brought her friends from Scotland as well as the friends she made at Miss World pageant. She took her friends to the WE Wednesday fete at the Queen’s Park Oval and they said they had a great time. She also took Miss Belize and Miss Norway to Hyatt’s LIME event which they enjoyed. Over the weekend, the girls will attend Brian Lara’s golf event in Moka, Maraval and Brian Lara’s All-Inclusive fete.
