In comparison, a teacher will invest in four years of college and approximately $40,000 for a degree, pay for and pass the certification process, and secure and keep a teaching job for thirteen years in order to receive what the average welfare recipient receives instantly and without working. Keep in mind that the welfare recipient does not work a job, pay job related expenses, invest 17 years into a career, or have to submit to and pass a drug test, and is free to spend their day - life hours - as they please.
