Monday’s “Yesterday’s Dead Today” on Community Radio WSLR 96.5 FM, Sarasota 7-9 p.m. Eastern Mark Binder, Programmer wslr.org/show/yesterdays-dead-today Many heartfelt thanks go out to all of you in the greater WSLR community who came together to donate about $30,400 out of the $33,000 goal in this fall’s membership drive, to keep WSLR on the air for another six months. Thanks, too, to all the volunteers behind the scenes who answered phones, picked up donated lunches(AND to the restaurants who donated those lunches in the first place...), entered pledges on our spreadsheet, etc. And to Arlene Sweeting and station manager David Beaton for running the membership drive in addition to all their usual duties around and about. To the local businesses, too, who not only donated those lunches, but also to those who donated thank-you gifts, whether hard objects or gift certificates, because they see the value to their own businesses and the community by their support for WSLR. And to members of “Ship Of Fools” Nate Howell, Turner Moore and Ed Knaust for playing a nice long acoustic set on “Yesterday’s Dead Today”, as well as Mike Finly(Thursday’s “Adventures In Jazzland”, 7-9pm) for sitting in with me after the Fools. To my underwriters, JR’s Old Packinghouse Cafe, The Flying Dog Cafe and Rocketman, for not only donating gift certificates but also for underwriting my show for many years And last but not least, to all my supporters who contributed to “Yesterday’s Dead Today”, helping me to make my show goal in both pledges and number of calls.
