Mooiplaatsie Function Venue is an extension to the popular 4 Star graded Mooiplaatsie Country Estate Guesthouse which accommodates 44 guests. Our venue is situated on the R104, a mere 7km from Silver Lakes Estate in Pretoria East. The countryside lends itself to the use of natural materials and features - encasing our own rocks in steel gabions in the design of the Venue Hall, and installing wooden stack-up folding doors - while the wide assortment of domestic animals and birds on Mooiplaatsie makes for a farm-style, rustic country feeling. We cater for all Corporate Conferences, Year-End Functions and private parties, with exclusive use of the variety of venue areas. We serve breakfast, lunch or dinner, according to guests requirements. Swanemeer, our Chapel, is built over the farm dam - home to a variety of exotic ducks and swans. Ornamental water-features, our vintage Chevrolet and tractor and other whimsical rusted garden ornaments set the ideal rustic scene for a country-style wedding. We have also added two new options for a Summer Garden Wedding (weather permitting): under the shady trees in the front garden; or else in the fairy-like sheltered area, Liefieland, close to the Guest House. All in all our Venues can accommodate up to 150 guests. Die Pienk Klavier is part of the Guesthouse, and in a semi-closed patio area which can be hired out as a Breakaway Room or exclusive dining experience for up to 20 guests.
