More about Your Outdoors: Outdoors Calendar System and Outdoors Alerts - Part I of III Outdoors will provide a dynamic, exceptionally-functional calendaring, alert, and event system focused on outdoors activities, recreation, and sports that will serve: (1) outdoors enthusiasts, athletes, and spectators, (2) anyone and everyone else interested in the outdoors, and (3) those that want to reach those who are interested in the outdoors (e.g., vendors of outdoors products and services). The Outdoors Calendar System consists of integrated and stand-alone calendars that are focused on sharing outdoors events, activities, promotions, sales, etc., and information provided by Outdoors Groups, Outdoors Affiliates, Outdoors Partners, and other advertisers and sponsors. One of the key features of the Outdoors Calendar System is that the general public and Outdoors Users will be able to use the system to search for outdoors events, activities, promotions, sales, etc., that are actually relevant to those who are using the Outdoors Calendar System to search for such information. For example, an Outdoors User who is a runner and who is travelling to Boston, MA, for a business trip can use the Outdoors Calendar System to search for running events scheduled for the time such Outdoors User will be in Boston. Or, a family that is planning a vacation to the San Juan Islands in Washington can use the Outdoors Calendar System to search for outdoors events and activities to be held on or near the San Juan Islands that interest such family and then schedule its vacation around such events or activities. The Outdoors Calendar System will have a special “Garage Sailing” feature which will allow the general public and all Outdoors Users to search for garage and yard sales by location and date.
