More shameless begging from Dans proud mother. While Dan wants this project to be about his small village located in a high mountain valley about 100 miles from Kyrgyzstans border with China, I am also motivated by Dans experience with the impoverished diet in At-Bashy which caused him to lose 40 pounds by December of his first year there. Readily available eggs would have been a godsend to him. We had the opportunity to meet Saltanat and her husband last summer, and even though they have very few of the things that we take for granted, they are lovely joyful people who have been extremely kind to Dan for the last two years.
