More than a month ago, Sonia Rao wrote to me regarding NaNoWriMo, a non-profit organisation which encourages and facilitates lakhs of people over the world to write a novel in November (well, a rough draft actually). She is the ML for it and was kind enough to ask me to be part of it, mentor as well as deliver pep talks online to the participants based in India. I was honoured to be asked but had to decline because I was already snowed under my own work as well as various deadlines (no, this is not an invitation for editors to send me reminders :-) I remember). It is the penultimate day today and I am just posting this to wish every single participant a happy finish. If things have gone well, great. If things havent gone well for you, just remember you were writing - one of the best things you can do with your time :-) And many congratulations to Sonia Rao for having conducted what could NOT have been an easy exercise, involving multiple skills at several levels! Cheers to you, Sonia, and to EVERY single participant. Proud of all of you! :-)
