Morning to all............. I couldnt give an update on Phil until he spoke with his Supervisor this morning. Dr. Swaid has scheduled Phil for surgery on May 6th to replace two disk that have narrowed and causing him a lot of pain. He has changed his procedure concerning the surgery. Instead of using a cadavers femur, hell use a synthetic disk with a plate and screws to hold it in place. The surgery will take place at Brookwood in Bham. Hell stay overnight and return home to recover for 8 weeks before going back to work. Dr. Swaid is confidant that hell be able to resume his normal activity and be out of pain. I told him wed have matching scars! LOL Swaid did my surgery almost 3 years ago and I was blessed to have recovered well. I would appreciate your thoughts and prayers during this time. I believe God sends healing in many different ways. Phil will be in good hands, thats for sure...........
