Most men do not ever let anyone know their feelings but today Im on a emotional roller coaster. As of tomorrow I will close another chapter of my life, and on Monday I will open another one. Change is never easy, I hate the fear of the unknown. This one chapter just happened to be a total of 8 yrs. I cant say enough good about the company or the people that I have worked for. The people that I have met while staying in the hotel in Grundy. They have been a part of my everyday life and that becomes family. They made being away from home much easier by accepting me. I have met just a great bunch of people in these mountains on my journey. The people that I worked for have made me a part of their family, they accepted me in and made me a part of their team. Moving forward Im gonna leave behind good people and good friendships, good working relationships, ect... Man this is just not easy. However this is a decision I have made to try to make a better life for my loving wife and our beautiful children. Madonna I love you and I have missed being at home with you all. Saying good by is just never easy. I want each and everyone of you to know I will never forget you. All of my mine rescue members, its been a journey. I have had a great opportunity and great experience while working at United Coal. In closing, I wish you all the best and I hope each of you get what you want in life because we only go this way one time.
