Most of the people that I am close to know that my Granddaughter Brea Macole is a non verbal Autistic. My daughter and her family have spent years, 11 to be exact, hoping and praying that someday our girl could take the next steps in communication.. Well, today was that day, im attaching what her Aid sent to Erin, needless to say, today many emotions where felt, to those that we have not had the chance to talk to, here you go!!!! Message received from Brea aide tonight, couldnt be happier!! Talulah did absolutely amazing today ! We want her to start writing her requests down on paper since her word recognition is so great. She used the computer today to type out a bunch of words. And typed out my name is Breanna Mooney a few times. She did excellent and instead of using the pictures so much we think that if we can get her to start writing it may improve her communication progress. Im sure Megan shared that with you because she took the printed work she did right over to Molly she was so proud of her we all were. I thought I was going to start balling like a baby so I had to walk away but she really loved it !!! She typed out every color and animal she could think of !!!! She was so proud of herself and thats what really got me !!! This note is without question the best news Ive had about a little girl thats been stuck inside for WAY too long. Can not wait for what is coming next. But do know that whatever it is, it will be as blessed as this day has become. September 23rd 2014, we heard from our girl..
