Mother Embarrassed As Her Child Almost Wipes Table with Her Innerwear In Front Of Church Members A woman was embarrassed before visiting church members, when a daughter she had yelled at to clean the table came running with a piece of cloth that turned to be her innerwear. The woman had prepared adequately to host church officials who were doing door-to-door prayer visits to their fellowship members. Preparations were in top gear; several chickens slaughtered a mountain of ugali cooked and humongous kettles of tea prepared. It was early in the afternoon when church leaders in their brightest of robes arrived; wearing brilliant smiles maybe from the chicken aroma that lazily lingered in the air around the home. Excited children could be seen playing as they kept a close eye to the goings-on, perhaps in anticipation of leftovers. The moment the church ministers were welcomed in the house, they burst into praise and worship session, which culminated into demon-exorcising chants. Immediately after they were done speaking in tongues, all — now sweating profusely — could be seen settling in their seats as some whipped out handkerchiefs to wipe sweat off shinny foreheads. Feasting began in earnest with tea and cakes being served as starters to stimulate appetites. The other delicacies followed and apart from the noise of bones chewed noisily and rapidly, church ministers observed table manners by limiting their talk. This was unavoidable for much of their attention was focused on the heavy task at hand — munching, and outdoing each other while at it. At the tail end of the feasting, one church minister greedily pulled a bowl of soup in his direction and attempted to draw it near his mouth to sip. Unfortunately, a colleague of his intercepted it and in the process, soup splattered on the table. The host called her small daughter in haste and commanded her to bring a piece of cloth to clean the mess. “Hurry up and get a table cloth to wipe the soup off the table,” she yelled. The small girl dashed into the adjacent room, to try and find a tablecloth in vain. She hurriedly reported to her mum that she had found none. Her angered mum admonished her for having poor eyesight before screaming at her to get into the bedroom and ‘bring any rag’. With her alleged poor eyesight, the panicked kid rummaged through a pile of clothes from which she emerged with a big tattered and old mothers’ union underwear riddled with holes. She rushed to the dining table with it, and just when she had raised it in air to straighten it before mopping the table a deafening scream from her mum came through. Everything came to a stop with a loud graveyard silence in the air. The mother, embarrassed, snatched it from her and disappeared into her bedroom. Shocked and perplexed church ministers left one by one shaking their heads as they whispered to each other in hushed tones.
