Mothers Day - also known as Mothering Sunday - is a national celebration giving sons and daughters the opportunity to show their gratitude to their mums. Mothers Day is held on Laetare Sunday - the fourth Sunday of Lent - and is always three weeks before Easter Sunday. The date can change depending on the date Easter falls on, meaning it can be March at the earliest and April at the latest. This year 2014, Mothers Day takes place this Sunday (March 30).
