Move over Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood! Pupils at New Waltham - TopicsExpress

Move over Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood! Pupils at New Waltham Academy showed off their excellent culinary skills during Bake It For Bone Cancer to raise £1,000 for BCRT. The event was held in memory of former pupil Lucy Sutton who died from osteosarcoma in May last year. The occasion saw plenty of baking in the classes and it wasn’t long before the school was awash with all manner of delicious treats from fairy cakes and rocky road to BCRT gingerbread men! The school also held a special tea party for parents and grandparents to ensure they didn’t miss out on the chance to sample goodies and raise vital awareness about primary bone cancer. On behalf of us all at BCRT, we would like to thank everyone who made this Bake It For Bone Cancer such a successful event towards funding much-needed research into beating this cruel and devastating disease – we couldn’t do it without you!
