Movie Review: The Counselor Starring: Michael Fassbender, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Daiz, Javier Barden and Brad Pitt Directed by: Ridley Scott Budget: $25 million Box Office: $16,768,000 This film is ok! You have to really pay much attention to every detail from every scene as the plot gets deeper and darker. Everyone did an outstanding performance but Cameron Diaz character was marvelous. I not sure if she ever played as a villain before, but in this film she did amazing job. You dont see until the last 30 minutes of the film. Michael Fassbender was excellent! His performance was heartwarming when he cried in anguish pain of the death of his wife. The plot of the film is that the counselor (Michael Fassbender) an attorney who delves into the dark world of drug trafficking. Reiner is a underground drug kingpin with Malkina whos a malicious woman. Her name comes from Grimalkin which means: an evil looking female cat. You see these two in action of owning anything they want. The counselor fell into a downhill spiral of greed that costed his wife life as his life was spare to live in endless pain. I give this film an 9 out of 12 stars. A law degree is a license to steal! ~ Reiner Hey, Counselor do you know why Jesus wasnt born in Mexico?
