Movie night was grand. We started with two ear of corn each from the Farmers Market. Nom nom. This was followed by a whole chicken, roasted to a crispy-skin, with orange-rosemary; mashed red potatoes with rosemary, garlic and about a half cup of light alfredo sauce instead of milk or butter; market-fresh green beans with garlic and basil and butter; I made a light yummy sauce for the potatoes and chicken, from giblet broth and pan drippings. Lastly, we polished off the last of the Milano cookies. As I had hoped, John was very engaged in Shelter Island, which I would describe as a psychological thriller, and I think DiCaprio does a great job in this one. Its so intense and paranoia-inducing. Its still good, after 11 years. I have a busy weekend and dont know how present I will be on FB. My back is killing me (I guess the lumbar discs are in full bloom), and Id love to just rest for two days. But today is the sisters picnic, at Sarahs, with all the Sandy daughters. Then at 6:00 I am going to the Art Store to see works by Diane White and Helen Chilton. Tomorrow, I pick up an Italian platter and head to the Living AIDS Memorial Garden annual meeting at 3:00. Can anybody out there give me a hand with laundry? :-) To quote Micki, see yall later!
