Mr PRESIDENT WELCOME TO MY STATE: MATTERS ARISING for YOUR CONSIDERATION I take this opurtunity to welcome our president and commander in chief of the armed forces of the federal republic of Nigeria to our state, Nasarawa State the comfortable home of the APC. I wish through this post to inform you that the state had rejected PDP govt in 2011 due to inept and incompetent leadership and in an election that responded to the will, yearnings and aspirations of the people of the state. Consequently since then your party was consigned to the dust bin of political activities in Nasarawa state. Mr President your party has never been able to recover from that shock since 2011 as it kept experiencing a series of crises and confusion leaving its rank and file in total disarray. The situation in the party kept growing progressively from bad to worse. The last primary election for the governorship election knocked the final nail in the pdp coffin. Your arrival in the state tomorrow will present you with the oppurtunity to either revive it or perform its final rights of passage. I hope you will revive the party to give the incumbent governor whose popularity is soaring and acceptability is rising with every passing day, a credible challenge. Otherwise it will just be a one sided election in the state for all the elective offices with the APC making a clean sweep of the votes. That will take the shine off the contest. The people and i believe even the APC wil prefer a credible challenge. Mr President, your party needs an urgent operation to give it any chance of an average showing in the forth coming elections in Nasarawa state. My concern is whether there is time left to do anything now. Unfortunately it appears the people of the state have their minds already made up judging from the current pulse and the incumbent governors effective campaign sologan seeing is believing. He worked, he is still working and the people are seeing and believing. This is a mighty challenge for his opponents who have no answer to his accomplishments. I hope Mr President will use the oppurtunity of this political visit to explain to the people of the state the reason for the dearth of federal presence in terms of capital development of Nasarawa state compared to other states of the federation. Also why the people of the state did not recieve the magnanimity of the federal govt when the ombatse group unleashed a reign of terror on all communities in the state when Labaran Maku was supervising the federal ministry of defence. I also hope mr president will take time off as he did recently when he visited Bornu, to intetact with our IDPs who are camped in various rehabilitation camps in their thousands. This will give our dear president first hand and direct experience of the plight of a people suffering from the insurgency perpetrated by a cultist group that also massacred at least one hundred of security operatives under the command of the C in C. We also hope the president will provide a solution to these problems tormenting a part of the country which he rules. Finally i wish our President a peaceful entry, peaceful conduct of his campaign and peacegul departure from Nasarawa state. I also seize this oppurtunity to extend my felicitations and good wishes to my good freinds in the Pdp, particularly the govership candidate my name sake Alh Yusuf Agabi, my brothet Philiph Dada of the Agabi campaign organisation and my professional colleagues and learned freinds Prof Onje Gye- Wado and Barrister Musa Hussein. I wish you all sucsess and a bright outing in hosting the president in our state. May God in His infinite mercies send down His peace and tranquility to the state through out this trying period and beyond. AMIN
