Muhsan Muhd Sani Bachirawa INCOMPETENCE OF SOME NIGERIAN JOURNALISTS: SHEIKH ZAKZAKY WAS MISQUOTED Now wonders shall end, on why in the past the leader of the Islamic movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky appeared not to grant Nigerian journalists an interview. He, at different occasions complained on how they misquote, change and misused his words, which is contrary to the ethics of Journalism as a profession. This week, those incompetent journalists did it with a contradicting headline on BOKO HARAM which is not even part of the Sheikh’s speech. The worst and unprofessional report was that of THE NATION and TRIBUNE newspapers, they made the headline; “I KNOW THE WHEREABOUT OF BOKO HARAM LEADER – Zakzaky”. Boldly, this is a deliberate lie and a fiction, the aforementioned headline is not a part of Sheikh Zakzaky’s speech, and it was created by the incompetent reporters, it might in other hand be a sponsored report purposely to prevent general public from the original speech of Sheikh Zakzaky.
