Municipality recommends larger fines for smoking while driving After imposing a KD 5 fine on those who throw cigarette butts out of the car while driving, Kuwait municipality said new larger fines will be imposed on those who smoke while driving, as the car will be impounded in addition to a traffic citation and financial fines within other recommendations that will be sent to the Ministry of Interior. Director General of Kuwait Municipality Eng Ahmad Al-Subaih said the municipality is about to send recommendations to the Interior Ministry to ban smoking during driving including increasing punishments and vehicle impounding.
