Music teacher and ACE Awards nominee KEN SILVERMAN encourages success in every student and staff member in his school and embraces the surrounding community through integration of his music into the core curriculum of his schools. Camas Ridge Community School teaches a unit on compassion. They came up with the slogan, See A Need, Fill A Need. Ken composed a school song of the same title, taught it to the whole school (including many of the staff who played instruments for the song), and culminated the lesson with an all-school assembly where the song was sung and performed by the entire student body, staff and community members. youtube/watch?v=Xm2OyuWk428
