Musicians should not settle for less than what they are worth. If a musician is in this business just for fun, then I will see you at the pawn shop, because that is where you will be. The entertainment industry is a business, so act like it is and you will get paid accordingly. You want to play for fun, do it at home and leave the rest to the professionals.. Support Local Music by not playing for FREE because you are hurting the industry by all means. If a club or venue asks you to play for nothing or sell tickets for them, you should say, "NO WAY!"
