My 100 Favorite Songs of 2014 24. Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood — Somethin Bad (RCA Nashville) I used to say that women in country were creating the best punk rock around. If Somethin Bad proves anything, its that theyre creating the best 70s hard rock as well. It seems that people think that Somethin Bad is among either the very best or the very worst tracks on Platinum. I actually think its the best track overall. Along with the unique sound, the writers also appear to be testing how many classic hooks they can fit into one song. My favorite: Underwoods powerful Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! near the end, possibly the best climax in any song this year.
