My 103 yo Mother, is such a wonder. She called me today (at least 5 times). She had trouble hearing first 3 times, but, then, someone came by who saw she was having problems with the phone, and turned the volume up. What a relief! The last time she called, our conversation went something like this: Mother: what are you doing? Me: working a cross-word puzzle. Mother: Oh, I guess theyre ok, just not something Id enjoy doing. Mother: I like to play checkers. Me: Do you win a lot of games? Mother: Yes. I guess I do. I like to win. The other girl is not to happy cause she doesnt win. Me: Well, maybe, you should give her a break, and let her win once in a while. Mother: Now, that wouldnt be honest. LOL
