My Brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. I wanted to write this very sincere and honest message that has been placed in my mind & heart. First of all, I desire to speak to forward thinking and progressive brothers. Negative feedback isnt wanted or required! I look at the brothers from the college level up to the older and more time invested brothers. I need your help in executing a truly great building block for all of our brothers. See I read a lot of our posts and many things are posted regarding women, sports, food and other activities. What I would like for us to do is create a powerful, true and professional networking bond. We have seen brothers rise to all professional heights, but we dont network and share how others can achieve similar successes! Help me create a Facebook site where brothers can go and share positive information that could help inspire and drive other brothers to grow. We need a site where brothers within their hearts want to make a positive impact in another brothers life. I will share a great example, from Chicago State University - Nu Delta Chapter where I pledged. We Brothers - like Cornelius Brown (Police Dept) and Sam Nolan (Fire Dept) - will post any police or fire fighters opportunities. This is great and I give them respect and praise for the courage it takes to do their jobs! This key thing is simple...Its FREE to network and help each other. Maybe you have a certain skill set that you could help advise brothers that would shed light on their needs and help them grow professionally. Take a mental and visual poll of your hometown area within industries like hospitality, restaurants and other fields. The Latino Community has exploded in these areas. Whenever I have an opportunity, I strike up a conversation with a wait staff member and ask a very simply question. Wow, this looks a good place to work and I was wondering how you found out about this place? Believe me 8 times out of 10 they will say their friend, family member or neighbor told them about the job. This is proof of my point that this is networking at its purest form. We could share this new site once developed and make a solid effort to send brothers to this site. This country is slowly becoming Upper class and poor! Middle class is being choked out of existence. Work with me and lets join efforts that can rise our brotherhood to a new level! These arent just words but truly my passionate for us to bring each other ONWARD & UPWARD! A Phi A 0000000006!
