My Granny used to tell me as a little child, “don’t fight with a pig, you’ll just get dirty and the pig likes it,” and this afternoon I really understood the true meaning of that old saying...... Ive never blocked or unfriended anyone until today, but we can all agree to disagree on subjects, ideas, politics, but no one should disrespect the person! I believe, we each still have the right to our belief and our values without being called names by anyone. During President Bushs 2 terms, I may not have agreed with some of his decisions, but I never verbally or personally disrespected him and to the surprise of some, I do not agree with every decision President Obama has made, but I refuse to have someone not only disrespect him, but to call me a n-loving faggot and would never give them the pleasure of a response! What has this country and supposedly educated people come to? I dont hold all of my Republican friends responsible for this persons behavior or belief.......Ill just quietly say an extra prayer for him and hope he finds peace from within......our country is more divided than I even remember it in the 60s during the Vietnam War and those of us who remember those years remember how horrendous that was. We were once a strong nation and respected by the world, now everyone sees how we cannot even get along within our own little part of the world, simply because we have lost not only respect for each other and our differences, but our self-respect, as well!
