My Movie to avoid review of the week: The Counselor. Luckily, I got stuck watching the last 25 minutes of this fiasco. So, I consider that time off for good behavior. The only persons luckier were the ones to have never seen this dreadful juggernaut packed full of A listers and whomever the first actor was murdered in the all too predictable tale of wannabe drug dealers and corrupt lawyers all jerked around by a mannish looking Cameron Diaz. She basically screws them all over and wake of a listers murdered chasing an easy buck in the all too competitive Mexican drug cartels. If you like some comedy, you are in luck, because Javier Bardem, played by Michael McDonald, is bloated looking and sporting some bizarre Sonic the Hedgehog hair doo. He may have shocked himself by reading the script. I dont care. If you bought this lemon and are stuck with it languishing in your collection, there is still hope for a good use for it. You can use it for a coaster for your drinks, skeet shooting, drop it off for a tax write off at Goodwill. Maybe then someone can test out dvd players without the fear of it being taken or, mercifully place it in a microwave and blast it off the face of the earth. Thus preventing the scarred psyche of any future victims, like in the movie, the Ring. The good Japanese version, not the hack US version. As your adviser and legal counsel, you have been warned, if you fail to follow my legal advice. Prepare yourself for the horrors that await you.
