My Shout Out today goes out to several people that are as close to family to me as you can get. They have helped me and my family and The Spa at River Ridge family grow spiritually, emotionally and physically than none other. Even though most of the Hilbert family dont do Facebook, there is not a day goes by that I try to Shout Out to at least one of them about how much I love and appreciate all they do for us and I thank God every day for their presence in our lives. Kathleen (the matriarch of the Hilbert family and the glue that holds their family and ours together) has been my living guardian angel first when I met her 25 years ago as a client. We immediately were drawn to each other because we were both the babies of large families. When I was in need of a babysitter for my kids (Ellie was 2 and Clayton was 6 months old), she was one of the first people to reach out to me. Looking back, it is probably the biggest shift in my life and the most influential positive step in my life. I have never been more grateful for someone as I am of her and her sharing of her family. Kathleens husband Steve is now the General Manager of the Spa and has been an integral part of moving the Spa into the future. Their daughter Brittany is one of my top Stylists and Colourists at Spa, their daughter in law Beth is in a managing position at the Spa and their entire family (and extended) are some of the Spas greatest supporters. About three years ago, I had a dream that Kathleen and Steves son: Scott Hilbert: whom is a minister of God had set up a church service at the Spa. Well, my dream came true on Sunday when he provided a Baby Dedication for his sister Brittany and her husband Gabes beautiful son Barrett Bear. Scott and his wife Haley Elizabeth Hilbert and their sweet son Michael are pictured below. It was an amazing event to end my already faith filled weekend! As I am doing these Shout Outs daily, I feel like I am sounding like Tebow at times but as I am doing them, I realize what a hand God has in my life and I am proud of the fact that He is directing me and putting people in my life that are touching me and my family spiritually!
