My Sisters Closet. Another Jackie and Diana story from the eyes of Diana. This is from 1970 to 73-ish. As you may recall, Tony and I eloped in July 1970, and Tony had a year left in undergraduate school. Jackie was living the single life... Which can be interpreted we were basically broke, but Jackie had a good job at the Mill and had a good amount of disposable income. It is pretty safe to say that Jackie spent about 95% of her disposable income on clothes... And she had some really cute clothes. At that time, she and I wore the same size (not so much today!!!). During that time I would borrow outfits from her and without fail I received a ton of compliments and was asked where did you get that... It is so cute. I always replied honestly saying, I got it from my sisters closet. I honestly thought they knew it was a literal answer. Several times I had someone say, where is that? My reply, in Palatka, of course. It didnt dawn on me that anyone thought my sisters closet was My Sisters Closet.... But some did. One day we were at a function and Jackie walked in wearing one of the outfits from my sisters closet. The lady I worked with looked at me and said, Jackie has an outfit exactly like yours. I looked at her, shook my head and said, I cant believe she did that, can you? I laughed on the inside and Jackie and I had a huge laugh about it later!! True story!
