My Tribute to a wonderful man, Daniel Tolbert, my Uncle D. My heart breaks... Aye yah, my uncle D. You will truly be missed. I can remember to Summer visits to upstate NY. The long conversations with many many questions. It was your way of making sure that I was doing well. Oh yes! Your quest of finding a good Liberian men for your nieces. You were always ready to give a helping hand and a sure advice. Thank you oh, my Uncle D. I and many others will truly miss you. You did your family members well. You were a true example. You held the fort when your brothers and sisters left so soon. Uncle D oh Uncle D! I love you. I will miss you. No more illness, no more pain, no more suffering. Youre safe in the Fathers arms. Rest oh papa, rest. Oh my tall, handsome uncle D. Even my son asked, Mommy, isnt that the guy who taught me how to spell my name? I said, Yes, Danny, thats the guy. Background: My son is called Daniel also. At a young age he could only spell Danny but Uncle D wanted to make sure his namesake could spell their name. You made an impression on him. Thank you, thank you, thank you plenty Uncle D. Much much love. I wonder who? Who will fill your big shoes. Go rest yah, papa. Rest well. Tell my grandma, muma (Mariah), my daddy, uncles and aunts hello. Aye yah, Uncle D. RIP!!!
