My beautiful grandchild Jayna and her long time love, Mike Frato - TopicsExpress

My beautiful grandchild Jayna and her long time love, Mike Frato were married yesterday evening in the mountains near Lyons, CO. The wedding was beautiful in a grassy field with a beautiful vined trellis to stand under. The ceremony was conducted by Mikes friend, Adam and Jaynas sister, Kiandra. The ring bearer, Dresdyn and the flower girl, Lila did a great job and were beautiful to look at. Very fortunate.....it rained steadily for an hour before the scheduled time, cleared up completely and resumed just about the time the party ended. The groomsmen and lady attendants did a great job and looked good while they were doing it. I, among many other odd jobs, was responsible for bringing Jaynas beautiful dress from the seamstress to the venue. I was pretty nervous......so much has been invested in the dress in money, labor and love. My nerves were somewhat justified. There was a report in this mornings paper that a truck with a full load of sand turned over, filled 2 cars with sand and turned the cars over. Happened just a few miles from where I was driving. Two people had to be dug out of their car. That sort of thing could be pretty rough on a dress. My daughter Beth and her husband Paul did yeomans work preparing for the wedding rehearsal at their home, making the yard beautiful. Beth also made the veil and baked dozens of cookies and a beautiful lemon berry cake. I feel very fortunate to have been included in the planning, shopping and preparation. It was a joy, particularly going with Jayna to choose her dress. The reception was lively, full of dancing and good eating. There was actually a smoked pig on the buffet. Pretty fancy. There was a lot of laughter, conversation and catching up. All told, a great time was had by all. Im exhausted and plan to crash and burn this whole next week, but it was definitely worth it. Congratulations kids. Love you
