My daughter Darrien Knight turned 16 today, and oh boy what a birthday she has had. Today she passed her drivers test on the first try, her brother Dorian Knight let her drive his car, her phenomenal cheer squad took 1st place in Regionals, her wonderful coach Sandi Branson Gildehaus lead the girls in singing happy birthday to her, she got yummy pizza from Aldos and to end it, her sweet friend Chelsea Halsted stopped by and smacked a pie tin of whip cream in her face and gave her a basket full of goodies with creative sayings attached giving 16 reasons why she loves her. Darrien youre a lucky girl to have so many great people in your life. Saturday many of your friends and family celebrated your birthday party with you and you have had friends who have continued to remember your sweet 16 even though they couldnt make it to your party. The thoughtfulness of everyone really melts my heart. Darrien, please remember all these great people and their kind gestures if youre ever feeling down and Im positive the thought of these last few days will bring a smile to your face. Happy Birthday!
