The Egyptian military claimed that its coup was in response to the wishes of demonstrating Egyptians,and a patriotic act to prevent massive conflict between Egyptians.It removed a democratically elected government,and its supporters in and out of Egypt are trying to find new words for coups,and government by mob rule.Well the military has succeeded in polarising Egyptians more than any other time,and is now shedding innocent Egyptian blood.Neither the military nor its puppet government will succeed in suppressing the outrage which they have now triggered.Now they have awakened the radical elements of the Muslim brothehood to attempt to reawaken the violent resitance to which they were more accostomed.This is the last thing Egypt needs. There is a lesson for what is happening in Egypt for us in Nigeria.It is this:an incompetent,insensitive and corrupt administration will not be improved by a military coup.But the anger of people hurt by civilian administrations should not be taken for granted.We dont need soldiers to change leaders for us.We will do that ourselves,using our powers as voters.So a warning to all riggers:dont even try it!
