My day began with 4 firemen climbing in through my bedroom window. No, this is not a chocolate fuelled dream- it really happened. Before going to bed last night I locked everything up securely, then headed off to bed with Tigger in tow (she feels the need to guard me when Tony is working away) and into bed I went. Tigger woke me at 7 wanting to (desperately) go out....bedroom door jammed tight shut. Mobile-downstairs,likewise keys. A broken pair of nail scissors and bent nailfile later, an hour has gone by, I also need the bathroom and were still in the bedroom. I flagged down 2 schoolboys who got my neighbour and with no tools, no ladder, no other ideas,she phoned the fire brigade. (Thankyou Michelle) To my relief, it took the firemen,even with proper tools, a good 20 minutes to open the door which made me feel slightly less pathetic. What a morning. Moral of the story; take mobile/keys to bed in future. Big Harrah for the fire crew - Id still be there if not for them!
