My experience just now with our time trash collectors-I refused to put my barrels out on the sidewalk this morning because of this nonsense with the bags. I live in a 3 tenant house and my husband runs the house. None of our tenants are partaking in this purple bag bs. So our green barrels were left on the side of the front of my house, on my property. Mind you, flush against the house. No mistaking that they are over 7 feet away from the curb where my blue barrels are. The trash men come into my property, open them see that there is no purple bags, dump them and write down on their clipboard my address as non compliant And THEN neatly put both barrels back flush against my house. Like they were never touched. If I am not mistaken since when do our freshmen go OUT OF THEIR WAY to get a barrel? As I remember if it wasnt close enough to the curb they wouldnt bother to take it. But now, they are willing to cross into private property to get it. Hm. Thats bs. So I ran outside and ended up having to chance these trash men over a block to have a word with them. They saw me coming and were moving faster to avoid me. I caught up with them and told them how they have no right to cross into my property- how I DID NOT put my barrels out and how they just crossed private property. I was replayed by one of them laughing at me and saying how, wow everyones e getting so worked up about this and laughed in my face. And when I again repeated you crossed private property,the other one came over. I told them both how they have no right. And how Im not paying no fine for them marking down my address when I in the first place never put my trash out. They answer me with how I dont be fined. How it wont be until September and how they marked partial down. Meaning my house didnt obey the bags. They explained to me that in a 3 tenant house like mine if not everyone is obeying itll be marked down and in September well be getting a knock on the door to be told we havent obeyed and heres our fine. To relax its only the first week and that we wont be penalized. They then went to telling me to JUST GO HOME AND TAKE CARE OF YOURE BABY, OKAY HUNNY? And got into their truck and drive off. I am 8 1/2 months pregnant and thats how they ended their talk with me. I am furious they have no right doing what they did or to talk to me like that. This needs to end,
